The company went through difficult times and business
was really slow in the Seventies but on January 1st, 1980 with the assistance of his two sons Henk and Joe, the
company was revived and companies like ISLA refinery (SHELL then) and the Curacao Port authorities were and are
still among the many happy clients of De Ron Machine Shop today.
In the field D. R. M. supplies skilled labor to
all the islands in the Caribbean.
A quality awareness program has started and the company is working hard to obtain the ISO 9002 certificate in the
second half of the year 2000.
